Bossy R Sort (er/ir/ur)

This sorting work reinforces the bossy r spelling patterns that students may be studying, to delineate between the spellings of the same sound (er/ir/ur). Print and laminate, writing the word on the back of the card as a control for students to check their work or include the control card. This document includes purple cards to be printed on white cardstock as well as duplicate cards with no background for printing on colored cardstock. Students can sort these words into the spelling category they fall into, and write some or all the words in a list or in sentences.
