Place Value Challenge Cards

These are place value task cards made to reinforce critical thinking about place value, in conjunction with the Montessori materials. The first page has colored cards to print, and the second page is the same but with no color. The third has the control chart with answers in red. The 4th-6th pages repeat this pattern, with different problems.

You can print these on cardstock and laminate, then have students practice writing these problems and answers in their copybooks with the control available to check their work. I would encourage using a Montessori material to help them build each number and exchange as they go.
